Born in 1994 in Hohenems, Vorarlberg, Kai Marte studied law at the University of Innsbruck and the University of Vienna. Whilst gaining extensive experience whilst still studaying as an legal employee to an experienced criminal defence lawyer in Vienna, he completed his court placement in March 2022 at the Vienna Labour and Social Court, the Vienna Regional Criminal Court and the Hernals District Court, before joining Schmelz lawfirm as an associate in 2023.
Kai's areas of specialisation include family law and divorce law, immigration law and criminal law. He speaks German, English and the Vorarlberg dialect at a native level.
